Under and by virtue of the power of sale contained in a certain deed of trust executed on the 29th day of December, 1927, by B. F. Aiken, George Aiken and wife, Sadie Aiken to Hugh Monteith, Trustee, to secure M. E. Cope, for certain notes and indebtedness therein mentioned, which said deed of trust is duly recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds for Jackson County, N. C., in Book 101 at page 258; and default having been made in the payment of the notes and indebtedness therein mentioned, and the payment of the same having been demanded and having been re fused, and the power of sale in said deed of trust having become opera tive, and demand having been made by the holder of said notes in said deed of trust mentioned, on the un dersigned trustee that the power of sale therein contained be executed: Now, therefore, I the undersigned Hugh Monteith, Trustee, to satisfy said notes, indebtedness, interest and costs, will on the 13th day of April, 1931, offer for sale, and will sell, at public outcry, for cash, at 12 o’clock Noon on said date, at the front door of the Court House in the town of Sylva, Jackson County, N. C. to the highest bidder, the following two de scribed tracts or parcels of land in Jackson County, North Carolina, men tioned and described in said deed of trust above referred to, as follows: FIRST TRACT: BEGINNING on a chestnut, J. R. Crawford’s corner d runs with J. R. Crawford’s condi tional line in a Northeast direction to J. R. Crawford’s corner, white oak in Speculation line; thence with Spec ulation line in a West direction to a black oak corner; thence with Spec ulation line to Ben Aiken’s corner; thence with Ben Aiken’s line in a Southwest direction to an apple tree; thence with the branch to public road; thence with the road to Speculation line; thence an East direction to a stake in Speculation line, containing 15 acres, more or less. SEGONiD TRACT: BEGINNING at a white oak on a ridge, Lawrence Watson’s and Ben Aiken’s corner and runs N. 24 1-2 East 52 poles to a stake in Henson’s line on a ridge 48 poles from the top of Carver Moun tain; thence down the ridge S. 70 W. 25 poles; S. 83 W., 34 poles; W. 40 poles; S. 40, W. 10 poles; S. 63 W. 10 poles; S. 55 W. 48 poles to a black gum; thence S 48 E 16 poles forked black oak on a ridge in old line; thence S 86 E. 70 poles; thence N. 33 E. 33 poles; S. 51 1-2 E. 18 poles with old line to the BE GINNING, containing 26 acres, more or less as surveyed by T.
