On Friday evening at 8 o’clock an operetta will be presented at the Sylva High School auditorium by the voice teacher of W.C.T.C. 1 he operetta, “The Pennant’’ is a comedy in which a bevy of college girls and a bunch of foot ball players have an important part. The theme being “How Can 1 As a Woman Accept and Discharge My Citizenship Responsibilities.” A motion was made and carried for each mem ber to earn one dollar -during the coming month to be paid into the treasury. Bicentennial Program Given at Sylva Graded School The Sylva Elementary School celebrated the Washington Bi centennial anniversary with a pro gram given by the sixth grade. Dressed in lovel) colonial costumes the children protrayed with songs stories and dramatizations, the great mans life.
