event ever experienced in their
history.
Representatives from a number
of the secret societies of Asheville
in a meeting with the management
of the Fair Association arranged a
tentative program that will make
"Biotherhbod Day" replete with in
terest A committee . was appoint
ed to invite a speaker of national
reputation to deliver an address on
this day, and a second ' committee
was named to make arrangements
for the occasion.
The fraternal orders of Asheville
will endeavor to interest all others
in Western North Carolina in an ef
fort to most advantageously exploit
fraternalism in this section and to
.bring the members of various lod
ges together for a day of beneficial
entertainment and good fellowship.
It has been decided to have approp
riate wxercises, which will culminate
in a "Brotherhood Reception" to be
held at some suitable place in Ashe
ville' on "Broiherhood Night'4
For the purpose of stimulating

co-operauon in mis movement, a
number of prizes and pennant will
be given the lodges having the best

cent of membership present.
The details of "Brotherhood Day"
are being worked out in such a
manner as to interest the majority
of fraternity men in what will
prove to be the most enjoyable and
helpful day in the history .of the
fraternalism of Western North
