The Jackson County Singing Con- vontion met at Cullowhee Baptist church last Sunday and continued through Sunday. Owing to the inclemency of the weather there, were not as many choirs represented, as usual but the attehdanc.was rather large and the singing classed present did double duty and; succeeded in holding the attention of the crowd during the two days of the Convention. The singing . was excellent and ; every one enjoyed it fully, y ' The. movement is a good one and has met-with a large degree of suc cess v It needs and should have the encouragement of the people .of the county. , V " ; . ; Rev A.
