Municipal Finance Act, Chapter 106, Public taws, Ex tra Session, 1921, of North Carolina, and the acts amendatory thereto, negotiable Bonds of the Town of Sylva/ to be known as Water System Extension Bonds for the purpose of purchasing additional water-shed and installing additional water mains arc hereby authorized to be issued in' an aggregate principal amount not ex ceeding ^the sum of TWENTY THOUSAND- ($20,000.00)IX)LLARS for necessary expenses for said Town of Sylva, to-wit: For the purpose of purchasing additional water-shed and installing additional water mains for the Citizens of the Town of Sylva. Section 2. That a tax sufficient to pay the principal and interest of the bonds hereby authorized shall be an nually levied and collected. t Section 3. That the following mat ters are hereby determined and de clared pursuant to the requirements of sections 2918 to 2969 inclusive of the Municipal Finance Aet of the Extra Session, 1921, of the North Carolina Legislature, and the Acts amendatory to said sections. (a) A statement of the debtr of the Town of 8ylva has been made and filed with the Town Clerk pur suant to the Municipal Finance Aet, and is open to public inspection, (b) The average assessed valuation of property subject td taxation by the Town of Sylva for the three fiscal years in which taxes were lev ied, sa shown by said statement, is $1,766,000.00. (c) The net amount of the debt of the Town of Sylva outstanding, authorized, or to be authorized, as shown by said statement, is $160,00.00 Section 4. That this ordinance shall be published once in each of four successive weeks after its final passage, as required by The Munici pal Finance Act, and the Acts Amendatory thereto. Section 5. That this ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its first publication, unless in the meantime, a petition for its submits i. n to the voters is filed under the Municipal Finance Act, Extra Session, 1921, and in such event, it shall take effect when approved by the voters of the Town of Sylva at an election as pro vided by the said Municipal Finance Act. ? - .
