Greensboro where Mrs. Cowan and
Mrs. Robbins will represent the Worn
an's Missionary Society of the Sylva
Methodist church at the annual meet
ing of the missionary societies of
the Western North Carolina Confer
ence. Before returning to Sylva Mrs.
Cowan will attend the May Day "Cel
ebration at Greensboro college for
Women and Mr. anjd Mrs. Iiobbins
will visit relatives.
Old Schoolmates Enjoy Reunion
A happy surprise for Mus. Lora
Rhea, 462 Center street, occurred
last Wednesday when she reeeived an
unexpected visit from Mrs. Kitchen
of Sylva, N. C. The two ladies were
girlhood friends and schoolmates but
had not seen each other for thirty
five years, tsince Mrs. Rhea left there.
Mrs. Kitchen has been spending
the winder in California and is de
lighted with it, calling it "The play
ground of the world." She expects to
return to her North Carolina home in
