The North Carolina Press Associa tion was in; session at Waynesville, and on FriiUiy its members went to Clingman's I)Ome, the top of the < 1 iv at Smokies. A number of Waynesville people accompanied them on the trip, and a large and representative crowd of Sylva and Jackson County folks join ed them here. At Newfound Gay a truck of cold drinks awaited and they were served by courtesy of Sylva and Jackson County. Alter spending some time at the Dome, the newspaper folk returned to Cherokee, where they were guests ?d' Sylva, Bryson City, and Cherokee, :.t luncheon, and where two teams of t'herokees staged an Indian ball {??' une for their entertainment. The press has been lavish in its pniiso of thjis region and the folks here, as welj :is the character of en t.rtainment provided. The peoplej are indebted to the com mit tees and leading spirits, who labor * d hard to please our guests.
