Now is the time to hold fast to our
faith: Faith in liberty, faith in democracy,
and above all faith in God.
The age is calling for greaft sacrifice.
It also calls for great faith. And
faith is something that has never yet;
been defeated, in all the long and '

Americans are well-nigh unanimous j

Coming in as a scavinger in Poland,
after Hitler's unprovoked and ruthless
attack, the Russian Bear grabbed
tbe lion's share of the spoilt and
another chapter of "glory" was added
to the Red Army, j Now the great
bear of the North, prompted by the
cunning, Oriental mind of Stalin,
has pushed into Finland, with the
only excuse for ruthless slaughter
bing to add new territory to the
Union of Soviet Republics.
A shudder of fear and anger has
cast itself into the hearts of all the
fine, peace-loving, liberty-loving,
\ God-fearing people of Scandinavia.
Indeed the action of Japan in China,
Germany in Austria, Slavokia and
Poland, and of Russia in Finland,
thas proyed beyond a doubt that we
have entered upon ah ereh oi ruthlessness,
and conquest, in which the 1
