Believing that the National Guard of North Carolina ranks among the most important organizations within the State and recognizing particularly the voluntary service to the State and Federal Government, it is believed that every proper consideration, opportunity and benefit should be given units and individuals of this organization. The Adjutant General, with the cooperation of the Regi mental and separate Battalion commanders, has arranged that the individual members of the Guard may, through a magazine, be in touch with the military news and with those friends and fellow soldiers of all parts of our State. o
