All members were present except two. The meeting was called to or der by the president and the roll and minutes were read. The main * topic of the meeting was the dis r cussion of the formal inittaf.cn of 1 new members. This will oe held in > the Methodist church, November 6 [ at 8 o'clock. The public is invited l Miss Nancy Daniels conducted the t program which consisted of the scripture, congregational findings, . hymns, and prayer. Mrs. Jones Honors Houseguests At Bridge Tuesday As a courtesy to her houseguests, Mrs. F. W. Mills of Greenville, and Mrs E. B. Boatwright, of Reidsville, Mrs. S. A. Jones entertained at a bridge-luncheon at her home on Academy street Tuesday morning. Guests were invited for ten thirty o'clock. Attractive arrangements of lovely chrysanthemums and other mixed autumn flowers were placed at in tervals throughout the home. Following several progressions of bridge which was played at two tables, high score prize was awarded to Mrs, Jack Strum. Guest prizes were presented to Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Boatwright.
