ARMY AM) NAVY
Army and Navy toollmll teams art* going to meet this
year and when they do the lur is going to fly. Both of
there teams are fine. This writer thinks that they are
the finest in the'nation and would certainly like to be on
hand when they meet. 1 have seen Navy play and this
team looked unbeatable. However it is possible that it
will be defeated. If 1 was a betting man and had money
1 would put it on Army when they meet.
One reason I sav this is because of the fact that Army
beat Duke by a much larger score than Navy did. Then
too Navy had a haul time last Saturday and that proved
that she was not the powerhouse that I first thought.
Blanchard and Davis must be two great players. Ido j
not see how any two could be better —BUT—of course j
there are other good players and when Army plays Navy
there will be a lot of good football and a lot of science
put into the game.
Pick your team and listen to the game over the radio.
Its apt to be a "Corker”.

Ge! Awards
The golf trophies were awarded
last night at the Roxboro Country
Club to the two golf champions of
the county. Jack Hughes was
awarded the loving cup as winner
of the first flight and Phil Thomas
was awarded the cup lor being win
r of the second flight. Presenta
tions were made by Sam Merritt and
Thomas Hatchett. Tom Woody, pre
sident of the Country Club, presided
tailback and guard, respectively, are
scheduled to play in this week's
game. Wingback Jim Laßite, now
an ensign will not play.
Duke and Tech will enter the
game, with the odds about even.
Saturday, against Auburn, Tech's
passing and running attack got a
good workout as the Jackets tromp
ed a stubborn Auburn outfit, 20-7.
