The Junior Bridge Club met! on Wednesday night at the home of Miss Virginia Whitmore. Sunday night services were held' on Sunday evening at the Baptist church with the pastor, in his pul pit. Harris and Not All Folks Can Obtain Now Sugar Stamps Raleigh, Jan—Recent announce- I ments that sugar ration books will henceforth be issued for all of North Carolina by the OPA district office in Raleigh does not mean that pres jent holders of books will get a new jone. Johnson said the announcements j simply indicated that returning j service people, who have never had ! ration books, or families having new 1 babies, may apply for sugar ration books by obtaining an application : j blank at the local board and send ing it to the Raleigh Office prop i erl.v filled out.
