Mr. West came; here at the age of three, when his ! father became pastor of Roxboro ! First Baptist church. ORDER AUTHORIZING 522.000 SCHOOL BUILDING BONDS Whereas, the Board of Education of Person County has certified to this Board a resolution passed by said Board of Education on May 6, 1946. showing that it is necessary in order to maintain the constitutional six months' school term in Person County to erect and equip a three room addition to the Roxboro High School building; and Whereas, said resolution repre sents that SB,OOO is available for such purpose but that no other funds are available and no provision has been made by local tax or other wise for the remaining funds neces sary to erect and equip said addi tion, and requests this Board to take all necessary steps to issue a sufficient amount of bonds of Person County to provide the remaining funds; and Whereas, this Board has carefully examined the facts and has deternr ihed and hereby finds as a fact thttb ' THE COURIER-TIMES said statements of said resolution are true and that it has become the duty of the Board of Commissioners, acting as an administrative agent of the State in providing a State system of public schools, to order the issuance of a sufficient amoiint lof County bonds to provide the necessary funds so that the addition to said school building may be erect ed and equipped in order to main tain the constitutional six months' school term; now, therefore,- BE IT ORDERED AND RESOLV ED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Person: 1.
