COMMUNICA TED.
Continued from last page
Co., some months ago, a preposition
to suppiy their tank for a term of years,
the Board has received absolutely no
information, from anyone having au
thority in the matter, that the road
intended to accept the proposal. The
only reply ever received was a brief
note saying they considered the Boards
proposition a very liberal one.
In passing the resolution referred to,
the Board, in the estimation of the
minority, did a very unbusiness-like
thing; and the minority acted accord
ingly, even at the risk of incuiring
the displeasure of the majority.
In the face of the facts above enum
erated, to say that the R. R. Co. had
accepted the town's proposal is a
statement not in accordance with the
information in possession of the Board.
We are yours respectfully,
H. h. Thurston.
