The only reply ever received was a brief note saying they considered the Boards proposition a very liberal one. In passing the resolution referred to, the Board, in the estimation of the minority, did a very unbusiness-like thing; and the minority acted accord ingly, even at the risk of incuiring the displeasure of the majority. In the face of the facts above enum erated, to say that the R. R. Co. had accepted the town's proposal is a statement not in accordance with the information in possession of the Board. Death came Wed nesday night after only a short spell of sickness, and was the result of ursemic poison. The funeral services were conducted from her late residence on corner East Railway street and Illinois avenue, by Rev. Mr. Gregory and attended by a large number of friends.. Her remains were buried in the cem- etary and now rests by thte side of her aunt, and the husband and two little ones have the sympathy of every one in their hour of distress.
