Cottle of Lubec, Me. with Mrs. Cottle, arrived yesterday morning. They have spent the past seasons with us and appear to be glad to make their annual tour to the satfd hill sections.. Judge Locey is making his large and comfortable building on Pennsyl vania Ave look like a brand new one It is newly painted and touched up to catch the eye of the numerous vis itors now coming to our town. W S. Percival has arrived from New York to superintend the putting in of something over 5,000 grape ,v ines in Miss Brown's Vineyard near town. He has his left hand coin pocket in a "sling" he put his odds on Low's plurality in Brooklyn and lo! the thing didn't work. We had a pleasant meeting this week with Mr. J. J. Farrey of New York, who with his wife is pleasantly located at the Mount Vernon Honse. Mrs. Farrey was formerly Miss Leh man, who spent last season with us and the Free Press joins with their many friends in wishing the young couple much success. Geo- A. Letford, representing H. E. Bucklen & Co. Chicago, made his annual visit to our town yestetday. He is the best known traveling man on the road, and if he has an enemy, he has never been heard from. Mr. Letford is a welcome visitor to thous annds of newspapers in the Southern states, and the Bucklen checks are appreciated. A splendid 15c. bond linen writ ing tablet for 10c, At The News Depot.
