(Photos clockwise from bottom left): Graduate students huddle under a tarp in an attempt to escape the thunderstorm which interrupted ceremonies; Johnetta Cole, who has given commencement addresses at many universities, implores graduating seniors to take hold of their future and fulfil their dreams; many students had signs such as this one thanking their parents for all they had done for them throughout their years as students; seniors who were less than captivated with Sunday's proceed ings found creative ways to pass the time, like Elizabeth Rhyne and Shannon McCurry, who blew bubbles with Elizabeth's nephew Joshua Mace; Tabitha Willoughby waits in anticipation for the moment when Chancellor Paul Hardin will officially announce the graduation of the senior class; the stands were full celebration Sunday, with seniors rejoicing that their time was finally over. Bad weather aside, ceremo nies on Sunday were a time of joyousness and sadness combined. In honor of all their accomplishments, the Daily Tar Heel would like to extend hearty congratulations and warm wishes to this year's gradu ates. Good luck and much success in the future!
