University remembers fallen soldiers on Veterans Day

to offer anew AIDS test in addition to

“The good thing about the Orasure
.test is that the results are sent back in 72
hours,” Godwin said.

worry about the quality of the results
from the new test.
Though students will have to pay for
the Orasure test in cash, blood tests
i, from SHS will remain free because they
are under state contract. Paying in cash
ensures patient confidentiality, she said.
No matter what type of test people
choose, getting tested in the first place is
still very important, Godwin said.
“Forty percent of the people who are
infected with HIV still don’t know,” she
said.“ That’s why testing is so crucial.”

ceremony at Polk Place, the audience lis
tened to a speech given by a decorated
World War II veteran, observed the
color guard’s practices and recognized
the services of the veterans.
“We wish to thank all our veterans for
their sacrifices for enduring long fam
ily separations, physical hardships and
personal danger,” Air Force ROTC
Cadet Mike McGinley said.

by the Air Force ROTC this year, fea
tured a speech by former World War II
Prisoner of War, Curtis Davis.
Davis, who spent 40 months as a pris
oner of war in Japan, tried to impart his
feelings about the importance of cher
ishing the American flag.
“I still feel that what we think and
how we love and how we teach our chil
school recently moved into the McColl
Building, a $44 million state-of-the-art
facility dedicated in September.
“It’s very important for the business
school to be thinking about commit
ments to students not simply for the
period that they’re on campus,” Sullivan
said. “We don’t want UNC students to
be viewed in three years or five years as
obsolete.”
“Because it is made of lye, vinegar
and sodium chloride, all common
household substances, it is easy for peo
ple to make it at home.”

Transportation it’s time for them to dis
band,” said SEAC Co-chairman
Andrew Pearson.

“The Board of Transportation and
the system for allocating funds needs to
be opened to public scrutiny,” N.C. Sen.
