Earey leads Tar Heels to win STAFF REPORT The North Carolina baseball team improved to 6-4 on the season with an 8-3 victory at Campbell on Wednesday. The teams were tied at three going into the eighth inning when second baseman Rob Miano belted a three-run dinger off Camel pitcher Ray Greene. Baseball UNC 8 Campbell 3 The homer was Miano’s first of the season. Miano’s blast sparked a five-run tear in the top of the inning Greene gave up five runs on three hits and a walk in only one-third of an inning Pitcher Ryan Earey earned his first win of the season in 2 1/3 innings of relief. Earey started the game at third base before coming on for Richie Grimsley in the seventh. Earey allowed only two hits while striking out four batters and walk ing one.
