The Tar Heels got their act together in the second stanza, though. Lang picked up his fourth foul 55 seconds into the half, but he stayed in the game and hit back-to back buckets in the next 49 seconds. But Lang didn’t stick around too much longer. He was whistled for his fifth foul with 14:27 left to play. WOMEN S BASKETBALL From Page 14 Freshman Jennifer Thomas did her share to keep the Tar Heels from run ning sprints, too. The 6-1 reserve grabbed a career-high eight boards and scored 11 points in 17 minutes of action. Six Tar Heels scored in double figures, including the remainder of the “Big Three.” Barksdale finished with 11 points and seven boards, while Teasley led the team with 16 points and six assists. Duke’s Krista Gingrich led all scorers with 23 points for the rival Blue Devils.
