Landrum and his roommate, Michael Paduchowski, never received such a warning. It wasn’t that easy. Paduchowski said neither he nor Landrum ever received their checks. He said Tuesday’s article in The Daily Tar Heel prompted him to call Tar Heel Parking again and ask about the status of his refund. He said representatives treated him mdely and hung up on him, so he decid ed to circumvent them by putting a stop on his check. But when he called his bank, a teller told him that Tar Heel Parking had already cashed his check a week ago. “I called (Tar Heel Parking) several times today.
