Following Friday’s Homecoming Parade on Franklin Street, the GAA will host a welcome reception at the George Watts Hill Alumni Center. At 10 p.m. alumni are encouraged to relive their old haunts with an event called Franklin Street Live. He’s Not Here, Player’s and Spanky’s will provide live music from the ’7os, ’Bos, and ’9os. And for alumni interested in a late-night movie, “National Lampoon’s Animal House” will be on the big screen at the Carolina Theatre. The movie will start at Homecoming 'Ol 11 p.m. with a cash bar provided. Saturday’s slate of events include the Ram Run 5k at 7:30 a.m. on the UNC cross country trail located near Finley Golf Course. Then revelers will kick things off at 10 a.m. with the Alumni Pre-game Party at the Carolina Club. The UNC vs. Wake Forest football game begins at noon in Kenan Stadium. The GAA have reserved a large block of tickets for Alumni Weekend participants who are registered for at least one other event Seating will be arranged by class years. Immediately following the football game, on the lawn of the Carolina Inn, festivities will continue with the Alumni Post-Game Bash. Light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will accompany the live musical entertainment provided by Carolina alumnus Wil Seabrook. The first 300 to register for the postgame party will also have a chance to win a treasure chest filled with UNC mer chandise donated by Johnny T-Shirt. Basketball fans might want to visit the Smith Center 90 minutes after the foot ball game for the UNC vs. Marathon Oil/Nike Elite men’s basketball exhibi tion game. From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Polk Place will accommodate the Milestone Class Dinner on the Quad. The GAA is also pleased to include a number of activities for kids. Victory Village Daycare will provide childcare for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday. Tar Heel Kids’ Camp will entertain children aged 6 to 14 on both Friday and Saturday nights. In addition to the GAA-planned events, a number of UNC departments will hold events of their own. Air Force ROTC will host pregame festivities at 10 a.m. on the lawn in front of the Naval ROTC Armory on the cor ner of South and Colombia Streets. See GAA, Page 11
