In addition to going 8 for 15 at the plate, Cox posted a slugging percentage of 1.133 as the Tar Heels went 2-2 on the week. With three RBI against Charlotte on Wednesday and Georgia Tech on Friday, Cox tied his career high in back-to-back games. Donohue, a junior, collect ed the fastest time in the ACC last weekend in the women’s 800 m run with an NCAA regional qualifying mark of 2 minutes, 8.82 seconds. Donohue placed second in the 800 at the Carolina Fast Times while winning the javelin competi tion. Donohue recorded a throw of 136 feet, 1 inch in the javelin to win the event. Donohue is also NCAA qualified regionally in the 1,500 meters as she ran 4:23.46 at the Duke Invitational. The time is the fastest by a North Carolina runner this year.
