Many make connections, con sider platform planks and rise through the ranks of student gov ernment all in a quest to gamer the most votes come Election Day in February. The formal campaign period doesn’t begin until January, and the Student Code does not regulate informal campaign preparations for student government members before they officially declare their candidacy in January.
