James Campbell, 37, was driving in Toledo, Ohio, when a girl in the car in front of him threw her bra out the window. Campbell swerved, flip ping his car several times and breaking a vertebra in his neck in the process. Emily Davis, 17, will be charged with misdemeanor littering. A State Highway Patrol crash report said that the girls told investigators that before the accident the men were motioning to them to lift up their shirts. NOTED. The Pit Preacher multiplied by 500? The city of Dallas has been invaded by a group of nearly 500 street preachers spreading the word. Last week the preachers were at every single gate of the Texas State Fair. Organizers of the group call it an invasion because they believe Christians need to be more aggressive. POLICE LOG ■ A man was arrested at 2:38 a.m. Sunday on a charge of driving under the influence, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Reports state Robert Edwards, 35, of Creedmore, was found passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle in traffic on Fordham Boulevard. Edwards was released with a written promise to appear in District Criminal Court in Hillsborough on Nov. 21, reports state. ■ A man was arrested at 2:45 p.m. Saturday on charges of failure to comply with officers in reference to an outstanding warrant, accord ing to Chapel Hill police reports. Reports state Julian Belton, 34, was arrested at the Harris Teeter at 207 Estes Drive after a brief struggle with officers. Belton was released with a writ ten promise to appear in District Criminal Court in Hillsborough Dec. 5, according to reports. ■ An incident of unlawful burning was reported at 7:01 p.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Maurice Howell, 22, Philip Emanuel, 20, Kathryn Watson, 19 and one unaffiliated person Mary Joy Fish were found in a car in the Finley Golf Course after hours with two glass pipes and possible unlawful possession of amphetamines or methamphet amines, reports state. Watson, who was the driver, was arrested and charged at 2:40 a.m. while the rest are still under fur ther investigation. ■ A residence was reported broken into at 3:54 p.m. Saturday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. An unknown suspect kicked in the front door of the residence at 101 Forsyth Drive, causing SSO in damage, and stole $550 worth of computer hardware and software, reports state.
