Lauren Nelson, current wearer of the tiara, went undercover with New York police to catch sexual predators. M Officers in Suffolk County’s computer crimes unit created an online profile of a 14- year-old girl for Nelson that included pictures of the beauty queen as a teenager. Nelson said she would go into chat rooms where men would send her instant mes sages asking her how old she was and where she lived. America s Most Wanted filmed the operation and will broadcast the segment Saturday on Fox. A spokesman for the show Said at least four men were arrested. NOTED. Just like Brandan Wright, Nicole Matisse will go to college for only one year. But unlike Wright, Matisse will end the year with a degree. The 19-year-old University of Michigan student is on track to graduate this spring despite having attended the college for only two semesters. Matisse took 27 credits this spring. POLICE LOG ■ Cedrick Saxon, 21, of 101 Billie Holiday Court, was arrested at 9:36 a.m. TViesday at the intersection of Longview Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, according to Chapel Hill police reports. He was arrested on felony charges of two counts of larceny and misdemeanor charges of improper registration and child restraint, reports state. Saxon was pulled over for traffic violations but then was found to have a warrant out for his arrest from the Chapel Hill Police Department He was confined in Orange County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail and was scheduled to appear Wednesday in court, reports state. ■ Yohanes Kelemework, 19, of 109 Pinegate Circle, was arrested at 1:15 p.m. TViesday at the Chapel Hill Police Department headquar ters at 828 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. on felony charges of break ing and entering and larceny, according to Chapel Hill police Satlg ©ar Hppl reports. Kelemework turned himself in for the charges, according to reports. He was released on $2,500 unsecured bail and was scheduled to appear Wednesday in court in Hillsborough, reports state. ■ An incident of breaking and entering of a residence was reported at 11:10 p.m. TViesday at 209 Vance St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. Stolen items included a gold ring and a half dollar coin, totaling a cost of $1,050, reports state. ■ Incidents of breaking and entering from a motor vehicle and willful vandalism and dam age to property were reported at 8:58 a.m. TViesday at 110 S. Elliott Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports. A car stereo was stolen from the vehicle, and there was damage to vehicle parts and accessories, totaling S4OO, reports state.
