Chicks dig men in cuffs
FROM STAFF AND WIRE REPORTS
Police have arrested a Rutherfordton, N.C.,
man who told supermarket workers for four
months that he was a sheriff s deputy.
Aaron Melton tipped off Ingles and Bi-Lo
employees when he couldn’t provide information about
his supposed squad that he should have known.
“Melton said that he did not know' it was a crime and
that he thought it sounded better than telling the ladies
that he was a plumber,” a police press release stated.
NOTED. A Swedish uni
versity received $590,000
to research the quantity- and
potency of greenhouse gases
released when cows burp.
Cattle release methane, a
gas scientists believe contrib
utes to global wanning, when
they digest their food.
Cows in the study will have
different diets and wear a collar
to measure the methane.
