Five months —and two additional members later the chancellor search committee has held public forums, created a position Dwight Davidson: Gibsonville Connection to UNC: Davidson graduated from UNC in 1977 and serves as chairman of the V General Alumni Association's Board of Directors. Other experience: Davidson served as the chairman of the Guilford County Democratic Party and campaigned for John Edwards in 2004. Bill Harrison Greenwich, Conn. Connection to UNC: Harrison serves as the head of UNC's Global Leadership Circle and graduated from UNC in 1966 i Day job: Harrison served as president and chief executive officer of JP Morgan Chase from 2001 to 2005. Connection to UNC: Overlock served as co-director of the Carolina First Campaign. A graduate of the class of 1968, Overlock was honored with the Davie Award, the highest honor the Board of Trustees can bestow, in 2007. Day job: Senior director of Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Chancellor search STUDENT MEMBERS 3 Eve Carson Athens, Ga. Connection to UNC: Carson is a senior at UNC and the 2007-08 student body president and a Morehead-Cain scholar. Geoffery Sayre-McCord UNC Connection to UNC: Sayre- McCord is the chairman of UNC's Department H of Philosophy. Lisa Carey UNC Connection to UNC: Carey is an associate professor of medicine in the hematology-oncology division at UNC's School of Medicine. James Johnson UNC Connection to UNC: Johnson is a William R. Kenan Jr. Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship E wKwm at UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School. Johnson also serves as director of the Urban Investment Strategies Center. Joe Templeton UNC Connection to UNC: Templeton serves as chairman of the faculty at UNC and is a Francis Preston Venable Professor of Chemistry. THURSDAY’, FEBRUARY 14, 2008 CHAIRMAN Nelson Schwab Charlotte Connection to UNC: Schwab serves on the University's Board of Trustees and previously served two terms as chair man. A UNC alumnus, Schwab has received the General Alumni Association's Distinguished Service Medal Day job: Managing director of Carousel Capital, the Charlotte-based merchant banking firm. VICE CHAIRMEN Roger Perry Chapel Hill Connection to UNC: Perry is the chairman of UNC's Board of Trustees and has served on the board since 2003. He's worked on the Carolina First fundraising campaign and is a guest lecturer at the Kenan-Flagler Business School. Day job: President of East West Partners. BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEMBERS Rusty Carter Wilmington Connection to UNC: Carter is the secretary of the Board of Trustees. He graduated from UNC in 1971 and also serves as the chairman of the board's university affairs committee. Day job: President of the Atlantic Corp. of Wilmington Don Stallings Rocky Mount Connection to UNC: Stallings is the vice chairman r the buildings and grounds committee for the Board of Trustees. Stallings, a 1960 UNC graduate, played on tl University's football team and then for the Washingtoi Redskins. Day job: Chief executive officer of Eagle Transport Cc Inc.
