Dose Police bust casino in home FROM STAFF AND WIRE REPORTS Police said a man turned his house into a casino, with high-priced buy-ins, credit card machines and nudity. William Shane Anderson and his wife, Laurie, both 37, were said to have gambling going on when children were in the house, and their mother, a stripper, helped run the business. “She was also a dealer, and she would deal topless," said Middletown, Del., Police Chief Hank Tobin. NOTED. Police arrested a 28-year-old man on a cru elty to animals charge after he yelled an obscenity at a police dog in a patrol vehicle, accord ing to an arrest affidavit. Police said the man wiled in the window as he walked past a patrol vehicle that contained a patrol dog “causing (the dog’s) behavior to become overload ed, tormenting the dog." POLICE LOG ■ Someone got drunk and climbed onto the roof of La Residence at 3:02 a.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. ■ Carrboro police arrested a Chapel Hill man on several out standing warrants at 2:30 a.m. Monday at 605 Oak Ave. Ext. in Carrboro, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Montez Dewayne Hambric. 20, faces felony charges of breaking and entering, larceny and posses sion of stolen goods, reports state. He also is charged with three misdemeanor counts of failure to appear, reports state. Hambric. who also goes by the last name Hamerick, was confined at Orange County Jail in lieu of $3,000 bail. He was scheduled to appear in court Monday, reports state. ■ Police found crack cocaine after conducting a narcotics search warrant Friday in the yard of 570 Homemont Ave. in Hillsborough, according to Hillsborough police reports.
