Dog recreates ‘Homeward Bound’ trip
FROM STAFF AND WIRE REPORTS
A dog that ran away during a road-trip rest stop made her way 77 miles across
Nevada’s desert, a major river and two mountain ranges to return home a
week later.
. Moon, a Siberian husk), was reunited with owner Doug Dashiell, who
had last seen her near Railroad Valley, about 77 miles from his home.
Moon, who is nearly 2 years old, had no injuries but did return home stinking like
a skunk. She was apparently sprayed somewhere along the journey.
“I’ve had trouble with her running away before. She’s alw'ays come home," Dashiell
said. But he didn't expect her to show up after a week had passed.
“After seven days no way,” he told the Ely Times.
NOTED. A 30-year-old Florida woman
caused a commotion when she decided to direct
traffic topless at an intersection.
Rather than keeping traffic flowing, the woman
was creating a hazard, police said. Police found
the woman "foaming at the mouth and talking to
herself" according to a police report
The woman told police that God told her to
direct traffic.
