She had turned on the coffee maker before going to bed, then drank the coffee in the morning POLICE LOG ■ Police arrested a Durham man Friday for carrying a concealed fire arm and possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Reports state that Jonathan Dangelo Hicks, a 41-year-old taxi driver, was stopped on Ephesus Church Road for a narcotics inves tigation when police found the firearm in his pocket and a small amount of marijuana. Police released Hicks in lieu of SI,OOO bail, and he is expected in court Nov. 3, reports state. ■ More than $12,000 in tools were stolen from an Environ Way construction site either Thursday or Friday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The tools included seven saws, three lasers, a hammer drill and a gasoline pump, reports state. This was the second reported incident of theft from an Environ Way construction site in a week. ■ Someone scratched “whore” into the trunks of two cars parked at a Church Street home, accord ing to Chapel Hill police reports.
