The Caliente Resorts, located in Pasco County north of Tampa, approached elec tion officials about the idea. Although nothing in state law would prohibit it, the supervisor of elections said he doesn’t want to make any new precincts before redistricting in 2010. NOTED. A Connecticut couple married at a tattoo par lor this weekend, dressed as their favorite characters from “The Return of the Living Dead.” The pair tattooed their knuckles with the words “werewolf” and “wormfood” instead of exchanging rings. They were married by a justice of the peace dressed as a witch. POLICE LOG ■ A handgun was possibly used in a robbery of Hardee’s on Fordham Boulevard, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Reports state that the suspect stole S7OO in cash in the incident Friday at about 10:54 p.m. ■ Police arrested a UNC stu dent for impersonating a police officer on Franklin Street on Friday night, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Brandon Christopher Barrett, 18, was wearing an official police jacket with a badge and patches belonging to the UNC Police Department, reports state. ■ Someone broke into a neigh bor’s apartment Friday night on Hillsborough Street, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Reports state that the person who broke in fell asleep on the couch. ■ Police received reports of a bike found in a yard on Windhover Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Susan Scott-Ker and her husband have been working in India, but decided to fly 9,300 miles to New York City to vote when their absen tee ballots didn’t come in the mail. Three males were carrying a fourth male who was tied up and wearing a hood, reports state. A woman on Watters Road com plained at about 3:35 p.m. Saturday, reports state, and a man on Long Meadows Road reported a possible gunshot at 9:18 p.m., reports state. Police didn’t locate anything in either incident. ■ An officer responded to a horse in the street Friday morning on Old Fayetteville Road, accord ing to Carrboro police reports.
