A Jersey -tavern-keeper who had become more celebrated for the length of his bills than forth abundance of hi table, met with a sharper as sharp as himself, on one occasion. A Yankee happening to pass through that bar barous region, stopped at this man's hotel and ordered dinner. When he came to pay the bill he was astonished to find it scratched out to the round sum of six dollars. This fjtfcer astonished the Yankee, and he demanded to know what he bad eaten that such a bill could be charged. The landlord replied, "The bill will show you." On consulting it he found several kinds of wine and extras. Well, look here!
