I be per manent organization of the Commercial News Publishing Company was effected at the Board of Trade Rooms last night. There are just fifty subscribers to the capital stock, which is limited toS,0J0 and the company begins operations wnh $1,500. capital stock paid in, t be in creased at pleasure. The Commercial Xewg Company rep- resents entirely a business element in New Berne, and there are no distinctions as regards political affiliation. The ob tct and the understanding is that we are to have a newspaper here ; that shall be entirely free from partisan bias, and one which,' while presenting all the trne is ues before the country, shall discuss and deal with all public questions from the standpoint of actual practical business. T. A. Green, E?q:, one of the promi nent and leading business men of tne citv, was chosen President oi tne lom- pan ; Mr. C. II. Blank, another, Vice President, and J a?. F. Clark, Esq., j etil another of our commercial men, j was selected for Secretary and Treasurer. Messrs. Clement Manly, C. E Foy, Geo, Allen aud E. H. Meadows were elected to the Directory ; and Mes-s. K. Jtv Jones, I Alex. Miller and J. W. Moore were chosen for the finance confmittee. The organization of this Company; gives an earoest of the determination on the part of the commercial people of New Berne to perpetuate a stable and ffficient newspaper at this great and growing biminess centre, and when fifty of the representative men of the place, representing all j elementH of busis come together in an enterprise of ness, this sort, it assures success. This undertaking comprehends the merging of the Nut Shell into the Com mercial News, and an enlarged asd ) generally improved paper. The new arrangement will go into effect the first of January.
