Revenue Code. Mr. McKay, to authorize the
majority of acting justices of Cumberland county
to appoint a Special Term. Mr. Benbury, to
repeal as much of 8 section 81 chap, of Revised
Code, concerning Fish, as relatesto the county of
Tyrrell. Mr. Stephens, to establish a Freehold
Homestead arid for other purposes. Dr. Lane, to
charter the Savannah Mining and Manufacturing
Company. Mr. Dancy to amend the Constitution
so as to make Jews eligible to office. The fol
lowing bills were read the second time: . The bill
to .aid m the construction of the Western Rail
road was ruade the order of the day for Thursday
next. The bill to open the Yadkin and Pee Dee
Rivers was made the order of the day forMonday
next. The bills to incorporate the "VVhite Oak
River Navigation Company, and concerning Notla
River, Cherokee county, passed their second
readings. The bill to extend the corporate limits
of Kinston, Lenoir county, was after some debate,
laid on the table. The bill to pay the Talles Jurors
of McDowell county, was indefinitely' postponed.
The bill to incorporate the Arundell Hotel Com
pany, passed its second reading A message.was
