COltKKSPONOENCE.
Mr. Editor :In the fight in
which we have won so glorious a
victory over the Democratic sedi
tionists and enemies of equal rights,
among those that were most distin
guished for eminent service is the
editor of the Constitution: With
out the unremitted and skillful as
sistance rendered by you and your
coadjutors, the Convention would
havo been in the hands of our ene
mies. All honor, therefore, be to
W. B. Richardson, editor of the
Daily Constitution.
Voice of the People.
Notice. As it is rumored that
I am a Democrat, I take this method
of contradicting the report, and re
quest the men who originated it
who are doubtless an enemies of
mine to meet me, either privately
or publicly, and I will convince
them that they have done me in
justice.
I never have nor never will vote
the Democratic ticket ; and when I
die I want to be wrapped in the
iAmerican flag, with the Constitu
tion in my right hand.
