Mr. Harris stated that he was con fident that he would secure the liberty of his client when the habeas" corpus proceedings are heard. "The granting of commutation," Mr. Harris said, "is merely an act of grace is t& be eoustrued liberally. - There can be no discrimination against one class of convicts." If Summers is denied commutation "while serving his life sentence he will have more than a year to serve.
