Smitiivillk Cikcuit. Bro. Cun- ninggim writes, the Lord has blessed this Circuit to some extent during the year. About 20 souls have been con- verted and an equal number have join - ed the church. IIlLLSixmo' Circuit. The Editor pro tern, attended the camp-meeting at New Bethel on Hillsboro' Circuit, which commenced on Friday the 20th ult. The preachers and people met in the proper spirit and the best order pre- vailed. The meeting progressed with strong indications of good. On Sab- bath morning, a large concourse of gentlemen, sat patiently and listened to an entire sermon, under the arbor, with '' their umbrellas raised during the rain. ; The storm continued with violence, j-et the services went on On Monday j morning a large tree fell with a tremcn- dous crash upon a portion of Bro. Wms. : Harris tent, which caused great alarm, , injuring several persons slightly. Still . the meeting went on ; sinners were con- victed, mourners were converted and ; believers rejoiced. On Tuesday the ; brethren resolved to protract the meet- ing until the following Monday. We left on Tuesday afternoon. About 20 ! souls had been converted, ihe earnest, : noble zeal evinced by the brethren and ine unusai seriousness vuncu prevuueu, led us to hope and expect glorious re- suits from that meeting.
