The Confederate Re In ion. The Nashville papers are urgent la their calls cm the people of that city to make ample arrangements for the (treat crowd expected there during the confederate re-union this month. The Nashville, Tenn , Ban ner says: It is estimated by men who are in a position to form a correct idea that 'not less than 75,000 visitors will 'come to Nashville on that occasion to attend the reunion. This does not Include the thousands of visitors who will be here, not as ex-confederates, but as sight-seers. It is not unlikely that the number of visitors in the city on June 22 will be nearer 100,000 than 75,000. "To properly take care of these people for three days will require the help of every resident who can possibly render aid. The homes of the city must bo-opened, and all who can appreciate the importance of sustaining the reputation of the city must evince their interest and public spiritedness by making un usual and extraordinary elTort to help, even if it be at a sacrifice of their own comfort. Householders who have 'not agreed to take some lodgers for the three reunion days or who have hesitated in offering their homes for this occasion, should come to the relief of the committee and consent to help house visitors if they can possibly manage to do so. By the use of cots and pallets, by giving up parlors for a few days for sleeping apartments and by various expedients which will sug gest themselves to thoughtful and hospitable housewives, provision can be made for many visitors in homes which are now, under the ordinary arrangement, well filled. Nashville cannot afford to fail in making full provision in this matter. " Kaletgh Day. Go to Charlotte to the woman's exposition.
