Haines the young man who shot and killed his friend at Fort Monroe last week in what was claimed an in sane lit, has baen indicted for mur der. Kills Ills Boy and Himself. Rev. Frank D. Lee, son of the late Cassius F. Lee, Alexandria, Va., in a fit of temporary insanity put an end to the life of his son, a bright 9 year old boy, and then shot himself. Suicides at a Pleasure Resort. Mr. Eugene Styr, a young man from N. Y., committed suicide at the west end hotel in Asbury Park on Satur day night. A letter requesting that his body be sent to Dr. Schweig of New York for scientific purposes was found. England Disapproves of 'Royal (Jumbling. English indignation does not seem to abate in the least, toward the Prince of Wales. At a popular gathering the band was hissed when it struck up "God save the Prince of Wales." Meetings are being held and resolu tions are being passed in almost all parts of the dominion. Blood Oranges Cannot Stained. be ' Blood orangbs" have been investi gated by order of the health officer of Washington. The story that they are "fixed" with a syringe and a lit tle aniline dye has been going the rounds of the newspapers. It was seen by Dr. Townsend, and as the supply of "blood oranges" in the Washington Market seemed to be abundant he directed an inquiry with a view of condemning the fruit if it had been tampered with The chemist to whom the matter was referred sayB in his report: " Hie oranges are naturally stained, no artificial color ing of any kind having been used. The small spot on the side is fungus spot and not a puncture. It is im possible to stain an orange by inject1, ing any artificial staining fluid into the fruit either before or after pluck ing from the tree." St. Louis Globe- Democrat.
