The fine stock sale which takes place here on the 11th inst., will be one of the most important stock sales that has ever taken place in the State. The stock to be offered is of the finest strains. A County Index. We have beretefore called attention to the necessity of having a new in dex prepared for the use of the Regis ter of Deeds office. This is a thing that should be no longer delayed, be cause it has become almost a public necessity. As matters now stand, it is almost impossible to trace out titles to real estate with any degree of ac curacy, and thus facilities for the transfer of property are much im peded. We hope the county commis sioners will take prompt action in the premises. Of course it will involve some expense, but then it will be money well laid out. Let there be no longer any delay.
