McClain, for twenty years judge of the circuit court, left bis home Thursday morning to go to the court house. That was the last seen of him until yesterday, when bis mangied body was discovered lying on the ground in an open court iu the middle of the court house. '1 he head was crushed in, the legs and arms broken, and the neck dis located. It is supposed that the un fortunate man entered a small walk at the top of the high walls surround ing the court, and lost bis balance, fell over, dropping a distance of sixty feet. He was a warm personal friend of Gen. John C. Fremont. Sale Notice.
