Guy Minstrels. This celebrated troupe will appear at Metropolitan Hall tomorrow night, aud it is an event of rare interest in the amuseu ent line. It is conceded by the press and public wherever it has appeared, to be one of the best troups in the minstrel line now be fore the public. It's performances are all of the best and most finished style, totally void of anything like indelicate allusions that sometimes characterize shows of like kind. Guy's Minstrels are emphatically the favor ites with t he ladies as is evidenced by the large turnouts wherever they appear. We bespeak for them a crowded house, and feel sure that all who attend will be delighted. Read their announcement in our adver tising columns. ENTHUSIASTIC MEETING. Norris' Dry Goods Store. i They Put Them Up. The remarks made when Swin Dell put up drop curtains on hiB show windows yesterday were unique, amusing, entertaining, deplorable, unbearable, enjoyable, disgusting, laughable, disdainful, unavoidable, beneficial, amusing. Indeed, some thought we real'y had no right to put up curtains if we were going to Baltimore. But we are going to Bals timore just the same. The curtains going up will not prevent unless the Governor calls a special session of the legislature and that august body make a la w prohibiting us from going. We shall go to Baltimore just as ad vertised, and in order to have as lit tle stock as possible on hand when we go, we have made the last and final reduction on all goods, and for the next twenty days we will sell many lines for really less th, n cost. Putting up the awning will not af iect our move. Yours truly, D. T. Swin Dell. SPECIAL NOTICES. Having resigned my position with Mr. F. A.
