happiness of some of our local
fishermen for awhile.

The members of the N. C. Railroad
Commission will attend the National

locked the construction car at the
fair grounds when it ran down the
grade of the railway with great force.

J. Waters, in this city, this morning
at 7 o'clock, after a lingering illness,
Mr. Charles B. Hcales, in the 48th
year of hi- age. lie leaves a wife,
three devotid sisters aud two loving
children to mourn their loss.
