Too assurance given by Dr. McK.ee
relative to the health of the city pre
sent and prospective is a source of
much gratification to our people. He
tells us that there is in his opinion,
no danger of a fever epiiemic, but, of
course, this is predicted ur on the sup
position thif proper sanitary regula
tions are promptly looked alter. That
t iis wlU be done, there is no room to
'loubt as our worthy Chief of Police,
aided by his eniire fo.ee are Ui'
every effort to ferret out and abate
nuisances wherever they may he
found to exi il Wo feel it is but an
act of justice, chat cheir efforts should
be duly .acknowledged and apprecia
ted. It is a time of the year when
to some extent, in all cities, sickness
occurs, and we can .hardly hope that
Raleigh should entirely escape. At
all events let us do our part in aiding
the authorities to execute due and
unceasing vigilance.
