The Prohibition Convention which met in Greensboro yesterday had rep resentatives from eighteen counties Up to late yesterday afternoon no nominations had been made and no platform adopted. The sum of four hundred dollars had been raised for campaign purposes The nominations were no doubt made today. The con vention was opened with prayer by Rev. ,T. P. MoOullock. Hon. J. H. Southgate, of Durham, was made temporary chairman, and delivered an eloquent speech. The body met in the court house which was most tastefully decorated by the ladies. Among the mottoes were the following : "One, with God Is a majority." "Trust in God and go forward." "A vote against whiskey is a vote for Christ " "We have our arms around the American people."
