Died At the residence of his mother on South East street, this morning at 8, o'clock, Mr David Holder aged 19. The death of this oung man is cause for peculiar sadness ana regret on the part of those connected with the conduct of the Evening Visitor. ' About seven years since he entered upon the discharge of the duties of a carrier of the paper and, with the ex- , ceptionof a comparatively short in terval, he has since been one of the ' trusted employes of this establish ment as compositor etc In all the relations in which we have know him, he has fully corne up to every require ment. Sober, industriuos and faithful he never faltered in duty and was ever willing to ad vane? the interests of the business. In his private charao ter he wus mild, amiable, courteous and obliging, and, we truly believe he goes to the grave with the utmost regard of all who knew him. For a considerable time he has been afflict ed with that dread disease, consump tion, which, in its incipient state, has for some time given warning of a sad termination. His death was not un- looked for, but it came with a sud denness somewhat unexpected, being directly caused from hemorrhage. He leaves an aged mother, two brothers and a sister to mourn their loss with whom we most deeply sympathize, and trust that what my seem their irreparable loss .may turn out his eter nal gain.
