An Important Society Organ ized. . : A number of ladies and gentlemen met yesterday in the Supreme Court building and organized a society to be known as the North Carolina An tiquity Society. The purpose of the society is to collect relics connected with the history of the state and its people, and preserve them from de cay and loss. The following were elected officers of the society: President Mrs. John B Bnrwell. Vice President Mrs. A B Andrews. Secretary Mrs. B R Lacy. Tret surer Mrs. Robt. T Gray. It was resolved that the society meet tomorrow afternoon in the Supreme Court building at 5:80 o'clock; and all the ladies and gentle men interested in procuring and pre serving these relics are requested to attend the meeting. It is the Intention to make this a state association, and it is hoped that ladies and gentlemen throughout the state interested in the history of North CUioiina will become mein bers.
