1 Good Report.
President Crowell, of Trinity Cot'
lege, has submitted hie annual report
to the North Carolina Conference from
which we take tbel following as a
synopsis. About a year ago the in
stitution was burdened with a debt
which has been funded into 80 year,
6 per cent bonds A balance was held
in the treasury of a few thousand
dollars, for this years needs of the
college. The health of the college is
rnusually good The attendance is
15 per cent greater than last year
The financial embarrassments of the
college have been overcome and there
is more perfeot harmony, than ever
before.
Five per cent above cost. This is
extraordinary, and yet this is the
small adance at which Thomas &
Maxwell are offering the moBt select
! goods in th furniture line. The
; stock at East Martin street store Is to
be closed out by January 1st The
rush will no doubt be great, and If
you wish to avail yourselves of the
great cut in prices you should come
at once Nothing like it has ever
f been-seen in Ralejgh before, or-prob
j ably never will again.
