Recalled today at the new resi

of erection on
South Salisbury street, next to the
Fifth Ward drugstare. It is being
built for Mr J B Pierce and is now
nearing completion. The contract is
lu the hands of the Briggs Building
Company and Hie work is under the
control of Mr J B Masemore, who po
litely showed us through the build'
lng. Mr Masemoro has been with the
Briggs Company for about three
years and is a most competent and
skilled gentleman in his line. The
house, we believe is of the Elizabeth
ian style of architecture, and two
stories high and contains seven large
rooms with balcony Ac. The roc flog
is of slate. The interior work which
is now being finished up by painting,
is most excellent and reflects the
greatest credit upon the contractors.
The stairways are elegantly carved
and all the eurrounaings are fine.
The workmanship, in all respects,
cannot be excelled and the building
will be a flue ornament to the lo
cality. '
