Tho Harvest Festival or Song of Thanksgiving given In the Church of the Good Shepherd Sunday evening waa attended by a congregation which filled the church to overflowing. - The church was beautifully decorated m harvest products. This Song of Thanks giving, as has been an ancient custom In the English Church, taken the place of the American Thanksgiving sermon. Th choir had been carefully trained by, Mr. Wade R. West, one of Raleigh's successful business men, has suggested securing the MJlls Manufacturing site for a furniture factory here and the matter has been called to the atten tion of President Brown, of the Cham ber of Commerce. . Capt., West points to the fact, and President UMls cor roborates him, that abundant oak and other hard wood can be secured over the Raleigh tt Southport, the Raleigh ft Pamlico Sound and the Durham ft South Carolina Railroads.
